Important Note

Body fluid type and location must be noted (pleural, peritoneal, synovial, etc.)

Specimen Information

Samples may be received in syringes, sterile evacuated containers, or sterile specimen cups.  Ideally, the sample for a cell count should be placed in an EDTA anticoagulated tube.

Specimens submitted with the needle attached may be rejected at the lab's discretion.

*Deliver to the lab immediately.
